Trails to Adventure and Discovery
Off-The-Beaten-Path
My mind is rampant with rambling.  It's what I do best.  Writing,
music, laughter and new adventures fill me with zest!

I'm not sure which I enjoy most, travel or writing.  Both are equally
enjoyable, usually present a challenge and quite often end up as a
journey into uncharted territory and discovery either about myself or
my surroundings.

I think perhaps growing up on a farm instilled in me a love for
nature.  The quiet beauty of an early morning fog rising off a pond.
The sudden appearance of a baby fawn, whose eyes lock with yours for
one brief moment and in that moment you come to realize you are
not all that different, both a bit wary but curious.

If anyone is to blame though for my love of rambling, that would be
my mom.  She introduced me to the library at a very young age.
There I met such interesting characters, like Ralph Waldo Emerson,
Robert Frost, Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe and George Washington,
just to name a few.  I was transported in time to places likes the
Grand Canyon, the Taj Mahal, The Swanee River, the Pyramids of
Egypt and oh so many more.

Since I love both travel and writing so much, I decided to combine the
best of both worlds and write about the places I've been and the
things I've seen.

I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I have enjoyed
seeing them and writing about them. Enjoy the trails, and should you
embark on your own trail, remember to "leave only your footprints!"
"Give to the earth and it will give back to you."
